Two years of experience in park and recreation, revenue or retail operations to include one year of administrative or supervisory experience in the operation of a firearms shooting range are required. Additional experience in park and recreation, revenue or retail operations to include one year of administrative or supervisory experience in the operation of a firearms shooting range may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. Must possess a Driver license. Must possess certification as a Firearms Instructor by the National Rifle Association, State of Florida, United States Military or other unit of government, or obtain certification as a Firearms Instructor within the probationary period. Recruitment Notes The Range Master is responsible for all aspects of Trail Glades Range. This includes the direct and indirect supervision of 23 plus employees, enforcing all county range rules making safety the number one priority, having direct supervision of Assistant Range Masters and the Range Safety Officer Supervisor, plus administrative and maintenance positions, being responsible for the financial management of revenue and expenses, providing inventory control, providing superior customer service to patrons and operating the range, tactical range, trap, and 5-stand fields. Additionally, the Range Master should modify and improve park SOPs and develop tournament and other sources of activity and revenue.
