Camp Counselor

Job Summary We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Summer Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience tailored for children with special needs. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child can thrive. You will lead fun and meaningful activities, provide guidance and encouragement, and build positive, nurturing relationships with campers while ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal growth. Your contribution will make a lasting impact on the lives of children as they explore, learn, and have fun in a caring and respectful setting. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers in various activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures. Support behavioral management strategies provided to promote positive interactions among campers. Assist daily camp schedules and activities of each campers. Provide support and mentorship to campers, encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and personal development. Ensure the safety of all campers by adhering to camp policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns that may arise. Foster an inclusive environment that respects the diverse backgrounds of all campers. Qualifications Previous experience in babysitting, childcare, or working with children in a classroom or camp setting is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills.
