Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing engaging recreational activities that cater to residents' preferences, including memory care and dementia-specific programs Coordinate resident events and outings, ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as mobility assistance, dressing, or other personal care needs during events Build strong rapport with residents through meaningful interaction, active listening, and personalized engagement Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth schedule management and seamless program delivery Maintain accurate documentation related to resident participation, activity schedules, and incident reports when necessary Foster an inclusive environment by working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, promoting independence and socialization Experience Prior experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living or nursing home settings is highly preferred Demonstrated experience working with seniors, including those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia Knowledge of geriatrics, memory care techniques, and aging issues counseling is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and resident communication purposes Proven ability to develop programs that enhance resident engagement and foster community spirit Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a caregiving or program development capacity This role is ideal for compassionate individuals passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through energetic programming and heartfelt connection.
