07/09/2026 JOB SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position supports the overall recreation programming and events offered by the Recreation Department. Responsibilities include checking in participants, monitoring restrooms, checking in backpacks and bags, managing displays, distributing information, assisting staff with activities and events, and setting up and cleaning up recreation areas and equipment.

MAJOR DUTIES

Checks in children who have a membership and participate in the recreation program. Provided customer services to the clientele of the Community Center, program attendees, and event goers. Receives and secures school backpacks and supplies while children are participating in the program. Guides participants to the appropriate areas of the community center and manages crowd control around the restroom facilities. Monitors bathrooms for cleanliness and manages crowd control. Reports issues and concerns to management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 16 years of age Able to work flexible schedules based on dates of recreation programming. Must be able to pass a criminal background and post-offer drug screen successfully. •The City of Smyrna is an Equal Opportunity Employer •Req # 614013-1
