Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Afterschool and Summer Camp Counselors. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and safe environment for campers to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience working with children in a dynamic and engaging setting.Duties:
- Supervise and engage students in a variety of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, lessons, and group activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where campers feel supported and encouraged
- Ensure the safety and well-being of campers at all times
- Assist with daily tasks such as mealtime supervision, restroom breaks, and transitions between activities
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive and enjoyable camp experience for all participants
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom management, sports coaching, robotics, homework assistance, tutoring, or mentoring capacity is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is a plus
- Ability to educate and inspire campers through engaging activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with students, parents, and fellow staff members
- Passion for working with children and creating a positive impact in their lives
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Experience or interest in theater or special education is beneficial
- Christian counseling experience is a plus We offer competitive pay for this position.

$10.00- $15.
