About Us Paradise Point Camp is an Episcopal summer camp rooted in faith, hospitality, and joy. Nestled on the shores of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho, Paradise Point offers a rustic, unplugged environment that invites connection with nature, with one another, and with God. Cabins, campfires, waterfront activities, and open-air gathering spaces shape daily life and create a rhythm that is both grounding and full of fun. Our programs focus on spiritual growth, leadership development, and meaningful relationships within a supportive, joy-filled community. Role Overview As a Counselor, you are responsible for the direct supervision, leadership, and overall care of a cabin or group of campers during daily camp activities. Your primary goal is to provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment that encourages campers' social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth, in alignment with Paradise Point Camp's mission of spiritual growth and leadership development through faith, fellowship and FUN! Primary Responsibilities Cabin Leadership & Community Build a strong, supportive team environment within your assigned cabin Maintain a positive, bully-free community for all campers Supervise all aspects of the camper's day, including waking up, meals, clean-up, rest hour, evening activities, overnights, and other assigned duties Model positive character, integrity, and camp policies Activity & Program Instruction Lead and teach daily camp activities, programs, and skill-building sessions Assist in or lead camp songs, skits, and daily reflections Provide opportunities for each camper to experience success and growth Role Modeling & Spiritual Support Serve as a positive role model and mentor for campers Lead spiritual programming and reflection following Episcopal Church guidance Encourage physical, emotional, and spiritual growth in campers Promote positive character development and help campers meet camp goals Camper Care & Safety Learn the personality, needs, and strengths of each camper Recognize and respond to opportunities for problem-solving within the group Provide space for discussion of individual or group concerns Maintain physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of all campers Know and implement emergency procedures and participate in mandatory drills Communicate any camper or staff issues to the Village Coordinator Administrative Responsibilities Write weekly letters home for each camper Assist with other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Willingness and ability to work with children outdoors in a rustic environment, 6 days a week Ability to supervise and lead children in all aspects of camp life Enthusiasm, patience, adaptability, and self-control for working with youth Ability to assist or lead programs and activities Willingness and ability to live in a close camp community At least 18 years of age
Salary Information:
