Job Description
Open Gym Attendant Are you energetic, responsible, and passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable environment for youth and adults? The Dundee Township Park District is looking for an Open Gym Attendant to supervise Open Gym activities, enforce facility rules, and provide excellent customer service at Randall Oaks Recreation Center and Rakow Center. What You'll Do Supervise participants and monitor gym activities during Open Gym hours. Ensure all participants are properly registered and wearing wristbands when required. Explain and enforce gym rules and regulations to maintain a safe and positive environment. Manage game rotations and participant waitlists during busy periods. Set up and clean up equipment before and after Open Gym sessions. Track attendance and communicate participation numbers to supervisors. Provide basic first aid supplies when needed and complete accident/incident reports. Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff. Assist in maintaining a welcoming, organized, and safe facility. Represent the Dundee Township Park District with professionalism and positivity. Who You Are At least 16 years of age. Knowledge of sports and recreational activities preferred. Comfortable enforcing rules and addressing conflicts in a fair and professional manner. Strong communication and customer service skills. Able to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency or high-pressure situations. CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain certification within three months of employment.
