Job Description The purpose of this position to is to assist the Activities team in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for adults receiving long-term care and mental health services. Working alongside the Activities team, this position assists with planning and leading recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that encourage participation, recovery, independence, and meaningful connections. Assist in planning and leading fun, engaging and therapeutic activities that encourage guest participation, socialization and personal growth. Work collaboratively with the Activities team to support each resident's individual goals and recovery journey and communicate any concerns to the Activity Director. Monitor participation, document progress, and help evaluate the effectiveness of programs. Bring fresh ideas to create engaging events, seasonal celebrations, and meaningful daily activities. Build positive relationships with residents while promoting social interaction, confidence, and meaningful engagement. Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every reskdent feels respected, valued, and encouraged. Maintain a safe, organized, and positive activity environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working in a long-term care or post-acute care setting is preferred, but not required. Basic computer knowledge required. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds Ability to stand for one-hour intervals for up to 75% of the workday Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination Additional information What we're doing to keep you safe : No PPE Shortages here!
