Evercare of Granite City is dedicated to reaching out with our hearts and touching the hearts of others, and we're seeking a compassionate and skilled Activity Assistant to join our team. About the
Role:
We're seeking a Part-Time Activity Assistant to assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs and activities for our residents. As an Activity Assistant, you will be responsible for: Planning and leading activities such as arts and crafts, games, and outings Assisting with meal preparation and serving, as needed Providing one-on-one support and companionship to residents Maintaining a safe and clean environment for all activities Collaborating with other staff members to ensure effective care and support
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents Work closely with the Activities Director to plan and organize programs and events Assist with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed Provide emotional support and companionship to residents Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activities
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a senior living setting or related field preferred Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods What We Offer PTO Medical, dental, vision insurance Company paid $15k life insurance plan 401k Holiday pay
