Description Summary Student aides assist with the daily operations of the Morton College Fitness Center and Athletic Facilities. This position supports front desk operations, customer service, facility cleanliness, equipment organization, and general supervision of the facility while providing a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for all members and guests. Duties & Responsibilities Welcome members and guests while providing excellent customer service. Assist with member check-in and front desk operations. Maintain the cleanliness of the Fitness Center, Nutrition Center, Locker Rooms, Gymnasium, and Athletic Complex. Clean, sanitize, and organize fitness equipment throughout each shift. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to professional staff. Monitor the fitness floor to promote safe equipment usage and adherence to facility policies. Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned. Restock cleaning supplies and other operational materials. Assist with departmental events, fitness programs, and special activities. Answer general questions and direct members to appropriate staff when needed. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Required Qualifications Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying 6 credits hours in the Fall and Spring. One credit in the Summer. Good academic standing with a minimum GPA of a 2.0. Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of Compassion, Equity, Accountability, Innovation, and Excellence.
