This is an Hourly position.
Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The PACE/Senior World Activity Coordinator coordinates the therapeutic recreational adult day services program. The coordinator provides a comprehensive participant assessment to meet physical, mental and psychosocial well-being needs as well as person centered needs and interests. They plan, implement and facilitate activities for various cognitive functioning, physical limitations and persons with disabilities.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Experience:
1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than 1 year of experience but meets all other requirements, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring. CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required before providing patient care.
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music, Art, related Social Service field or Certified Occupational Therapists Assistant (COTA)
Experience:
3 years of experience organizing and facilitating activities in a geriatric setting. Experience in a Dementia or Alzheimer's Program. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
