S/he also develops, manages, and supervises recreation activities, both on our campus as well as in the community, and ensures that a therapeutic treatment atmosphere is present in all recreation activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management, Therapeutic Recreation, Physical Education, or equivalent experience is preferred. Prior experience working with children and adolescents. Develop, coordinate, schedule, prepare, and supervise residents in recreation activities. Excellent time management, organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Contribute to team atmosphere and development of treatment outlines. Be flexible and work both independently and within a team environment. Must be at least 21 years old - with a valid driver's license. Ability to manage crisis, and be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and First Aid/CPR/AED. Work Tuesday - Saturday from 10:30 am to 7 pm.
