REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED 64 credit hours of college credit or approved KHSAA professional development training as specified in current KHSAA bylaws 21 years of age Current CPR certification and completion of safety procedures as required by KHSAA Demonstrated working knowledge of sporting rules, regulations, and guidelines
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To assist the head coach and/or other athletic staff members with various middle and high school athletic programs and activities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES & EVALUATION CRITERIA
Demonstrates command of fundamental principles of sport or student activity Applies health and safety standards to optimize student safety Assists coaching staff in planning and implementing the athletic program for the designated sport or activity Assists in teaching fundamental skills, team play, strategy, and relevant rules and regulations in individual, small-group, and team settings Assists the coaching staff with supervision of practices as needed Models good sportsmanship and self control and promotes positive team behavior among students while maintaining patience and a positive attitude Assists in promoting sports in the school and community Assists with equipment maintenance, including providing input on supplies and uniforms to support health, safety, and welfare of student athletes Performs other duties commensurate with the position as assigned by the supervisor/designee
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is performed by sitting, standing or walking. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work at times may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
The position is an additional duty assignment or annually contracted responsibility without a specified number of days to be worked within the current school calendar adopted by the Warren County Board of Education.
WARREN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Salary shall be determined by Board-adopted athletic supplement schedule. Leave accrual will not apply as stated in Board Policy.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provision of Warren County Board of Education policy on evaluation of classified/certified personnel. Evaluations will be conducted by the immediate supervisor. WCBOE 07/28/2025
