We are a State-of-The-Art 54-unit Memory Care Assisted Living Community in Norwell, MA. We are proud to be family owned and operated. The Cordwainer will be the first of its kind being the first Assisted Living Community specifically for the memory impaired in Norwell, MA. We are looking for an extraordinary, experienced/ creative part time Program Assistant to join our team This role will report to the Program Director. Someone who will be a dynamic leader and loves to work with seniors and helps promote their best life. Good sense of humor; positive enthusiastic attitude. Self-motivated with a passion.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year working with senior population Experience leading groups of people with cognitive challenges Flexible work schedule Knowledgeable of Alzheimer's Disease and dementia Must be a team player Enjoy working with a senior population
Responsibilities:
Facilitating various structured and impromptu programs to individuals and groups in the common areas and resident rooms Ensuring the safety of the residents on group trips and excursions Working with other team members, management, volunteers, and families to deliver programs and activities designed to enhance the resident experience Monitoring changes in the resident's needs, abilities, and preferences to provide programs and activities appropriate for individual and group audiences Generating program supply lists, maintaining supply levels, and ensuring safe operation and functionality of the equipment.
