A Recreation or Activities Worker leads tours and vacation trips in outdoor or wilderness areas. Leads hiking, rafting, canoeing, climbing or diving activities for a group. Provides specialized knowledge about the history, terrain, ecology or wildlife for the tour. Manages transportation, equipment and provisions and assists with cooking.
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team at Green Acres Nursing and Rehab. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and facilitating engaging recreational and social activities. Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, fitness classes, and social events to promote socialization and engagement among residents Create and organize programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities Encourage resident participation and inclusion in all activities Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive environment Collaborate with other departments, such as dietary and maintenance, to ensure a seamless experience for residents
Working Environment:
Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with every third Sunday Generous PTO packages and excellent health, dental, and vision benefits Experience preferred but not required
