• PROGRAMS Opening Date 03/24/2026 Description Benefits Job Summary The Town of Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department is looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to work at the Ocean City Racquet Center located at 61 st Street and The Bay.

Candidates must have excellent customer service skills and have a general knowledge of tennis and pickleball. These positions assist with the tennis and pickleball instruction in youth and adult programs, and may act as hitting partners for customers to the facility. Assists in front desk operations including waiting on customers, answering phones, taking registration, and point of sale in the racquet shop. Assists in daily court and facility maintenance. Assists with tournament execution, including court monitoring, set up and clean up. Enforces facility rules and regulations. Experience playing tennis and pickleball preferred. Valid identification required. Must be at least 16 years or older. Must be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends. Must be able to pass a post offer drug test and background check. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Racquet Center Manager in supervising and managing the operations of the racquet center. Assists operational staff including teaching professionals, instructors, coordinators, and other attendants. Assist the Racquet Center Manager to maximize play while not overcrowding the facility. Assists with instruction including youth and adult programs. Responsible for tennis shop inventory and control. Responsible for revenue collection and depositing. Responsible for data entry into Rectrac for court reservations, program registration and point of sale. Responsible for regular court maintenance, overseeing of daily court maintenance Assists with tournament planning, execution and evaluation including enforcement of rules, tournament seeding, etc. Enforce all facility rules and regulations governing the use of facility, its equipment and other property. Enthusiastically encourages tennis participation by assisting in events to promote the sport and fellowship in the facility. Prepare activities for such events. Other duties may be assigned. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience and knowledge of running and operating a tennis facility

PREFERRED

High School Diploma or GED Experience playing tennis and pickleball preferred.
