Summer Day Camp Male Counselor 400 Delight Meadows Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136
Contract Contract Job Dates :
June 15th-August 14th. No Camp Friday, July 4th or Thursday July 23rd. Job Summary We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors . In this role, you will supervise and engage with campers as they move through a variety of scheduled activities, ensuring a fun, safe, and inclusive camp experience for everyone. Camp Counselors help guide campers to each activity, encourage participation, and model positive attitudes and behavior. You'll join in on games, crafts, and outdoor adventures to keep campers motivated and involved while fostering teamwork, friendship, and respect. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, enjoy being active and outdoors, and are committed to creating a supportive and enjoyable environment for all campers. Responsibilities Supervise and engage campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers and staff. Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills and managing behaviors. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment. Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive team atmosphere that enhances the overall camp experience. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, childcare, or education is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Must be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to changing situations throughout the camp day.
