Job Description
Description We are seeking a compassionate and creative full-time Adult Activity Coordinator to join our Community Integration Program Adult Residential Team. The Adult Activity Coordinator provides structured therapeutic recreational and expressive activities for clients in our Madawaska Group Home Residential Facility. This position works as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team to support client treatment goals, personal growth, and community integration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate as an active member of the residential treatment team.
- Plan and provide structured therapeutic recreational and expressive activities based on client needs and daily schedules.
- Provide individual and group interventions that support client treatment goals and maximize therapeutic benefit.
- Participate in treatment planning, assessments, treatment plan updates, and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Help clients develop healthy leisure skills and strengthen connections within their communities.
- Collaborate with residential counselors, peer support specialists, peer centers, and other service providers.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic activities environment.
- Properly use and maintain equipment associated with recreational and experiential activities.
- Follow residential policies, procedures, facility rules, and expectations.
- Communicate activity plans and collaborate with team members to support a positive therapeutic environment.
- Complete daily documentation regarding client progress toward treatment objectives.
- Utilize psychiatric rehabilitation concepts when working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, complex trauma, and acute symptoms or crises. General Expectations

- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications and Requirements
- Positive driving record and ability to transport clients as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a residential behavioral health environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use standard office equipment, including a computer and keyboard.
