Ashley Court of Brighton is a state-licensed assisted living community dedicated to providing compassionate, homelike care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and physical frailties. Our highly trained staff works diligently to create a safe, supportive environment where residents can thrive with dignity and respect. Overview We are seeking an energetic and caring Activities Assistant to join our team! In this vital role, you will design and facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a vibrant community atmosphere where residents feel valued and connected. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities Coordinate resident events and social outings to encourage engagement and community participation Assist with the development of activity programs that support cognitive function, memory care, and physical health Build meaningful rapport with residents through personalized interactions and attentive communication Collaborate with team members to ensure activities align with individual care plans and resident needs Manage scheduling of activities efficiently to ensure consistent delivery of programs Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including mobility and personal care assistance Skills Strong understanding of Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, and geriatrics Proven ability to develop engaging programs for individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments Excellent communication skills for working with residents, families, and team members Ability to build strong resident rapport while maintaining professional boundaries Knowledge of aging issues counseling, social work principles, or caregiving best practices is a plus Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!
