Job Description
Y Learning Before/After School Student Lead/Assistant
- Location
- Farmington Public Elementary Schools
- Must be 18 Years old or older Immediate openings available
- Year Round Positions can transfer to Summer Camp
- Part time up to 28 hours per week
- Site Lead
- Fixed Schedule Monday-Friday 6:30am-8:30am/3:00pm-6:00pm + weekly staff meetings and lesson planning
- Site Assistant
- Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday 6:30am-8:30am/3:00pm-6:00pm + weekly staff meetings and lesson planning Under the direction and supervision of the Y Learning Program Director, the Y Learning Lead/Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting, and implementing program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and consistent with YMCA core values.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment; attending to the needs of participants at all times.
- Serve as a role model for all participants by displaying exemplary behavior at all times and modeling healthy eating and physical activity.
- Be welcoming to all participants, parents, and other staff.
- Attend all staff meetings, and training and assume equal responsibility for general housekeeping tasks.
- Following YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical situations and behavior management, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.
- Paid training will be required
