Job Description

This seasonal position supports the delivery of the Junior Adventure Camp program. Under the direction of the Junior Adventure Camp Coordinator, this role is responsible for leading youth participants through structured activities, maintaining a safe environment, and contributing to a positive camp experience.
REPORTS TO
Junior Adventure Camp Coordinator DATES:
June 1 - August 13 (Off the week of July 4) Follow direction from the Junior Adventure Camp Coordinator. Assist in planning and implementing weekly schedules and daily activities. Lead and engage participants in organized group activities, games, and outings. Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment for all participants. Enforce camp rules and behavior management expectations consistently. Monitor participants and surroundings to identify and address safety concerns. Inspect facilities and equipment regularly; report hazards and submit repair or replacement requests as needed. Complete accident and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure all locations used by the program are left clean and free of litter. Maintain a professional image and positive working relationships with staff, participants, and the public. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to lift, push, pull, or transport materials up to 50 pounds on occasion. Experience working with youth is preferred.
