October 18, 2026 At 11:59 pm This part-time, seasonal position will be responsible for working at the Rink at Stine Community Park during the ice-skating season. Tentative 2026 - 2027 operating season is December 4, 2026 - February 28, 2027 with mandatory training to begin November 14, 2026. DUTIES Supervise and direct ice rink aides and cashiers who sell skate rentals and concessions. Monitor facility, handle trash disposal, and enforce rules to ensure safety. Direct ice rink activities, events, and maintenance. Perform daily inspections of facility to promote safety and cleanliness. Practice excellent customer service and preventative safety. Assist with pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down of facility. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School degree or GED equivalent. Ability to work outdoors, often in cold and snowy conditions Become certified in CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire. (City of Troy may cover costs to obtain). As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).
PREFERENCES
Certified in CPR/First Aid. One (1) or more of management/supervisory experience. Experience operating a Zamboni.
EVALUATION PROCESS
Application Review and Interview HOURS :
Part-time, approximately 24 - 32 hours per week. Schedule and availability must be attentive to programming and customer service needs. Regular schedule includes three to five (3-5) days per week including morning, afternoon, evening, weekday, and weekend hours.
