Basic technology skills:
email, simple software for documentation, calendars and communications. : The Center Activity Coordinator will help plan, organize, and help lead meaningful daily activities and community experiences for adults with diverse abilities. This role supports social engagement through structured programming, special events, and community integration. Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar that will show the National Days of celebration that will be sent home monthly. Develop flyers, posters or other visual materials to promote all events at the center and send to all homes. Help coordinate updating the centers Website. Web design experience helpful. Seek out new experiences in the community for the individuals Coordinate and help supervise trips into the community "Apple Orchard, Pumpkin Patch, Picnics etc.…" Help coordinate the centers Summer End Bash. Collaborate with Designated Coordinators and Executive Director to pick a theme and menu. Help obtain vendors to attend the events. Help coordinate with the Executive Director and or Office Manager to order supplies from various vendors: Walmart.com, Oriental Trading, Amazon Will be the lead person to decorate the main parts of the center for each season. Run errands to pick up supplies and materials for all activities being facilitated. Trips could be out of town; Sams Club… Drivers license is required.
Receptionist Duties:
Will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business, ensuring a positive first impression. Will manage phone calls utilizing a multi- phone line system. Will answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls to the appropriate person or to take a detailed message. Will assist with announcing all routes for person's coming into the center. Will announce pick ups and drop offs of individuals at the center. Will help provide support to the Executive Director and Office Manager. Will help distribute incoming supplies for persons served at the center. Will help maintain reception area and keep it tidy and presentable.
General Duties:
Any additional duties assigned by the Executive Director to help meet the mission and purposes of the Rice County Activity Center, Inc. Knows and follows Maltreatment of Vulnerable Adult Reporting and Internal Review Policy. (sections 245A.65, 245A.66, 626.556, and 626.557) Knows and follows Maltreatment of Minors policy and mandated reporting requirements. Responds to and reports incidents. Observes data privacy requirements according to the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Knows and observes service recipient rights and staff responses to ensure the exercise and protection of these rights. Knows principles of person-centered service planning identified in section 245D.07 subdivision 1a, and how they apply to direct support service provided by the staff person. Maintains CPR/First Aid; medication administration as needed and background study clearance. Performs required documentation, programs, internal/external incidents, seizure records, daily logs, and residence notebooks. Maintains required in service training, including additional topics determined necessary in each service recipient's CSSP. Will be able and willing to assist with transportation routes and helps load and unload individuals on and off the bus. Reports any concerns about vehicle malfunctions to maintenance and the Executive Director. Additional duties as assigned to help meet the mission and purposes of the Rice County Activity Center.
