Reports to: Activity Director/Coordinator Job Summary The Activity Aide is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents/patients in a [nursing home, assisted living facility, rehabilitation center, etc.]. This role promotes social interaction, physical activity, and emotional well-being among participants. Key Responsibilities Assist in the development and execution of daily and special activities. Facilitate group and individual activities, ensuring participation and engagement. Support residents/patients in attending activities, providing necessary assistance and encouragement. Set up and clean up activity areas and materials before and after events. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. Monitor and document residents' participation and feedback. Collaborate with staff to assess residents' needs and preferences for activities. Participate in team meetings and contribute to activity planning. Assist with transportation of residents/patients to and from activity areas as needed. Adhere to all safety and health regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in recreation, therapy, or a related field is a plus. Experience in a healthcare or recreational setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others.
