A Recreation or Activities Worker leads tours and vacation trips in outdoor or wilderness areas. Leads hiking, rafting, canoeing, climbing or diving activities for a group. Provides specialized knowledge about the history, terrain, ecology or wildlife for the tour. Manages transportation, equipment and provisions and assists with cooking.

Ash Grove Healthcare Facility is an 82-bed long-term care, skilled nursing facility. Services include a 20-bed memory care unit to meet the needs of individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. As an Activity Assistant, you will be: Documenting daily attendance and participation of each resident Facilitating resident activities throughout the day. Contacting volunteers and setting up entertainment Leading activities assigned by the Director of Activities Assisting residents to and from each activity as needed

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Education preferred, customer service, long term care preferred
