Seasonal Full-Time (Summer Position) Job Description STEM Encounters After School and Summer Camp is seeking an energetic, responsible, and dependable Summer Camp Counselor/Driver to join our team. This position combines working directly with children in an engaging STEM-focused camp environment while also safely transporting campers to field trips and activities in our passenger vans. If you enjoy working with children, can manage groups effectively, and want to spend your summer making a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from field trips using company passenger vans Follow all transportation safety procedures and company policies Supervise children during field trips and camp activities Assist with STEM enrichment lessons and activities Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for campers Effectively manage and supervise large groups of children Communicate clearly and professionally with children, parents, and staff Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and organization Serve as a positive role model for campers
Qualifications Required:
Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to work all scheduled shifts throughout the summer Strong leadership and classroom management skills Excellent communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable supervising large groups of children
Preferred:
Experience working with children in camps, schools, childcare centers, after-school programs, or recreational settings Experience driving larger vehicles is helpful but not required Training Provided No prior passenger van driving experience is necessary.
