Activity Assistant The Greens at Maple Leaf | Hickory, NC The Greens at Maple Leaf is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activity Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing engaging activities, meaningful social interaction, and opportunities for personal fulfillment. Position Summary The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and implementation of recreational and social activities for residents. Programs should promote socialization, entertainment, relaxation, independence, and overall well-being while creating a positive and enjoyable environment. Responsibilities Assist with planning and conducting daily activities and special events for residents. Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities. Develop programs that promote social engagement, recreation, and quality of life. Support residents in maintaining and improving daily living skills. Assist with holiday celebrations, games, crafts, outings, music programs, and community events. Work collaboratively with other departments to meet the needs and interests of residents. Maintain activity records and documentation as required. Foster a welcoming, engaging, and resident-centered atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior living, customer service, or a related field is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, enthusiastic, and dependable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods throughout the workday.
