Part-Time | Day Shift (Occasional weekends and special events as needed) Position Summary Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, energetic Activities Assistant to help create engaging experiences that enhance the quality of life for our residents. In this role, you'll assist with planning and leading recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that encourage independence, foster meaningful connections, and bring enjoyment to each day. If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working with seniors, and are passionate about making a difference, we'd love to have you on our team. Key Responsibilities Assist with the implementation of daily group and one-on-one activities for residents. Encourage resident participation by creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Set up activity areas, prepare supplies, and assist with cleanup following programs. Provide individualized engagement for residents who are unable to participate in group activities. Adapt activities to meet residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, outings, and themed activities. Document resident participation and communicate observations to the Activities Director as appropriate. Work collaboratively with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to ensure resident safety and enjoyment during activities. Help promote a vibrant, resident-centered environment that supports overall well-being. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, or working with older adults is preferred but not required. Friendly, patient, and compassionate with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Dependable, flexible, and able to work well as part of a team.
