Orchard Park Assisted Living Position Overview:
The Activities Aide is responsible for assisting in the delivery of recreational, social, and educational programs for the residents of Orchard Park Assisted Living. Under the direction of the Activities Director, the Activities Aide helps ensure daily activities run smoothly and provides direct support to residents during programs and events. This role plays a key part in enhancing the quality of life for residents by encouraging participation and helping to create a positive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Support Assist with the setup, preparation, and cleanup for scheduled activities and events. Help distribute and post monthly calendars and daily schedules. Provide hands-on assistance during group activities and events. Resident Engagement Encourage residents to participate in scheduled programs. Escort or assist residents to and from activities as needed. Interact with residents in a friendly and supportive manner during events. Event and Activity Assistance Support larger events, outings, and holiday celebrations by helping with decorations, supplies, and setup. Ensure residents' safety and comfort during events. Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with the Activities Director and other staff to support a welcoming and fun environment. Provide feedback or observations about resident engagement to the Activities Director. Administrative and Support Tasks Keep activity areas tidy and stocked with necessary supplies. Track resident participation when requested. Perform other duties as assigned to support the activities department.
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a senior living setting or with older adults preferred. Friendly, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor. Ability to take direction well and follow through with assigned tasks. Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Must pass a background check.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and assist with setup of materials. May lift or move supplies up to 25 pounds. Frequent movement around the facility. May work in a lively environment with music, group conversation, or varied noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Schedule Requirements:
Part time position, approximately 24 hours per week. Scheduled Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some holidays may be required based on the needs of the facility.
