We are hiring a School Community Coordinator who enjoys bringing people together, building relationships, and creating spaces where students and families feel a real sense of belonging. This role blends youth energy with neighborhood organizing. You will grow after school clubs, spark family engagement, and partner with people who care about Calvert as much as you do. Together, you will help Calvert feel like a true gathering place for the school and the wider community. What You'll Do Coordination and Alignment Connect CLC goals with what Calvert families and neighbors care about most. Bring the leadership team and School Neighborhood Advisory Committee (SNAC) together as a real community table. Turn school and neighborhood input into clear, shared priorities. Programs and Youth Opportunities Build after school clubs shaped by kids' interests and community talents. Create family nights, pop ups, and summer happenings that build belonging. Meet families and partners in their spaces to grow trust and involvement. Staffing and Support Coach and energize staff, interns, volunteers, and contractors. Keep simple, transparent records that support strong programming. Complete documentation so community work can stay people focused. Operations and Continuous Improvement Ensure every club, event, and gathering is safe and welcoming. Collect lots of data, lead honest reflection and help the site grow from community feedback. Schedule Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; occasional evenings and some weekends for events, engagement opportunities, and meetings. To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week. To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
