Position Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on mentor and sports enthusiast to join our Athletic Department at The Jewish Community Center! If you have a great understanding of sports fundamentals and a talent for leading youth programs, this is a fun opportunity to make a positive impact on our community!

About The Role:

You will actively coach, mentor, and set a welcoming tone for our athletic facilities:

Coach & Mentor:

Lead and assist with youth sports programs, clinics, and leagues, including basketball, soccer, flag football, t-ball, and floor hockey.

Facility Operations:

Handle equipment setup and teardown, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe environment by respectfully enforcing facility rules.

Community Connection:

Provide excellent customer service, take time to learn members' names, and work as a team player to support an inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

• Specific knowledge of sports and the ability to teach fundamentals to youth participants.
• Clear, professional communication skills to work effectively with kids, parents, and staff.
• The physical stamina to lead active group programs and lift up to 50 pounds of athletic equipment.
• A high school diploma (or current student status) with preferred experience in youth athletics, recreation, or customer service.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it.
