GSEMA has an opening for Lead Program Counselor•Travel at our overnight Camp Wind in the Pines located in Pelham, New Hampshire This position requires you to be a minimum age of 21.
Hours and Work Environment Camp Dates:
June 25•August 16, 2026. The camp season includes 1 week of paid training.Pay Rate:
$95.00•98.00 daily rate for each camp working day. What are some of the perks of working at camp? Lodging and meals provided. Most Saturday's off. Paid pre-camp training and professional development. Dependent upon the role, opportunities to receive FREE certifications (lifeguarding, archery, First Aid/CPR, etc.). Networking opportunities and a chance to work with other staff from around world. An opportunity to build your resume to reflect skill development in leadership, communication, problem-solving, behavior management, creativity and more.A LEAD PROGRAM COUNSELOR
•TRAVEL will: Be responsible for planning and leading safe, engaging, and age-appropriate off-site trips for campers Ensure each experience reflects camper choice, creativity, and Girl Scout program goals. Collaborate with other camp staff and campers to design individualized, well-rounded programs. Oversees trip logistics and equipment, and trains staff to support travel activities. Ensure that each camper's ideas are listened to, and that camper planning happens. Take responsibility for health and safety of campers. Get to know each camper in the group, encourage their personal growth at camp, and help them respect the rights of others and themselves. Commit to our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages, and accept the Girl Scout commitment to work with all without regard to age, race, ethnicity/culture, country of origin, religion, language, socio economic status, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, ability or political affiliation. Is this you? Be at least 21 years of age by June 15, 2026. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors. Ability to assist in teaching an activity. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-control. Ability to work within the camp environment (Work may be indoors or outdoors and may be hot, humid, rainy or cool weather.) Ability to be an effective member of the staff team. Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve practical problems and successfully manage a variety of variables and personalities; ability to adapt in a changing environment. Other Requirements This position will require successful completion of background checks and an active membership in the Girl Scout Movement.
