The Activities Assistant supports the Adult Day Center by helping plan and lead engaging programs that promote social, cognitive, and physical well-being for participants. This role assists with activity set-up, participation, and clean-up while ensuring a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
Principal Accountabilities:
Work with ADC team to ensure safety of clients, at all times.
- Interact with clients in a professional and positive manner.
- Treat clients with respect, kindness, patience; helping to maintain clients' dignity.
- Assist clients who are unsteady with walking.
- Able lift up to 25 pounds.
- Provide hands-on assistance for clients, including personal care as needed.
- Participate in leading activities/program at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
- Participate in organization and coordination of activities/projects at request of Lead Activities Assistant.
- Assist during lunchtime to ensure calm, orderly flow of dining experience for clients.
- Set up program rooms for recreation activities.
- Communicate with member's responsible party as needed and directed.
- Promote ADC in the community whenever possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
1. 1 year of experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or Adult Day Care experience or related field.
