In this vital role, you will facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors and memory care settings. Your efforts will foster social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, creating a lively and supportive environment for our clients. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults while utilizing your skills in event planning, recreational therapy, and senior care. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging activity programs that promote socialization, cognitive function, and physical activity for residents with diverse needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's. Assist clients with daily activities (ADLs) such as mobility, to support their independence and comfort. Collaborate with the Activity Director to tailor activities that address individual preferences and aging issues. Foster a positive atmosphere by encouraging participation, providing, and promoting social interaction among residents. Experience Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, dementia care practices, and senior care principles. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members. Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living).
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
