In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging activities, ensure the safety and well-being of campers, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth, teamwork, and fun. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain valuable experience working with children, and make a meaningful impact during the summer months. Duties Supervise children during various camp activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times Facilitate youth group activities, including games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises Enforce behavior management policies to promote respectful and inclusive interactions among campers Administer basic first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies following established protocols Support campers with special needs or accommodations, providing personalized assistance as needed Maintain a safe environment by monitoring outdoor work areas and adhering to safety guidelines for outdoor activities Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings is highly preferred Strong classroom management skills with the ability to guide behavior positively and effectively Experience in special education or youth development programs is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead outdoor activities safely and confidently in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children of different ages and backgrounds Passion for working with youth and fostering their personal growth through creative programming Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities This Summer Camp Counselor position is perfect for energetic individuals eager to make a difference while gaining hands-on experience in youth development.
