Camp Activity Area Supervisor•Day Camp Willow Lake Day Camp•Lake Hopatcong, NJ Help bring to life one of the most exciting new spaces at camp—complete with games, lounge areas, pool access, and a slushie station. This is where campers go to relax, connect, and enjoy some of the best parts of their day.

June 22•August 14 (Closed July 3)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM•3:15

PM Salary:

$5,000 for the summer (paid biweekly)

Mandatory Training Dates:

Sunday, May 31 (2:00-4:00 PM) Sunday, June 14 (10:00 AM•5:00 PM) This role is all about owning the space—making sure it's set up, organized, and running smoothly so campers can enjoy it throughout the day. You'll be the person keeping everything on track behind the scenes while still being present and engaged with campers and staff. Key Responsibilities Set up and maintain the area each day (seating, games, shared spaces) Keep the space clean, organized, and ready for use at all times Monitor the daily schedule and support smooth group transitions Build positive relationships with campers while encouraging social interactions Oversee equipment and supplies; communicate when items need restocking Manage a simple lost & found system Operate the slushie station Reset the space at the end of each day What We're Looking For Experience working with children (camp, school, recreation, or similar) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable managing a space independently Calm, consistent, and reliable presence Ability to stay aware of multiple things happening at once Background in education, recreation, or youth programs strongly preferred Requirements Must be available for all camp dates Must attend both training sessions Must be comfortable working outdoors Must live within a daily commutable distance (Willow Lake does not provide housing to staff) What You Get Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off Consistent daytime hours (8:30 AM•3:15 PM) Lunch provided daily Opportunity to work in a fun, high-energy camp environment Leadership-level responsibility in a well-run program Opportunity for your child(ren) to attend camp
