Job Description

Job Summary The Rental Supervisor will be in a leadership role overseeing daily operations at the Sand Harbor Rental Concession while directly reporting to the Manager on Duty. The Rental Supervisor will be scheduled to work alongside the team on site at the rental concession and will be responsible for all duties associated with being a Rental Attendant. The Rental Supervisor will ensure that all team members arrive on time as scheduled and are clocked in. The Rental Supervisor will be responsible for communication with the MOD (manager on duty) if team members are late, a no show or have arrived to work unfit for duty. The Rental Supervisor will be responsible for transporting staff and equipment into the park in a designated company vehicle and helping facilitate rental operations with a strong emphasis on safety and customer-service standards. The Rental Supervisor will be responsible for setting zone restrictions and time limits each day and will be expected to communicate these to the rental team, reservation department and MOD. The Rental Supervisor should have an excellent understanding of company policy and will be responsible for ensuring all policies are being adhered to by guests and staff. The Rental Supervisor will ensure staff are taking breaks. The Rental Supervisor should be aware of wind and weather conditions each day and be comfortable confidently communicating rental boundaries to guests, staff and other departments. The Rental Supervisor will keep a close eye on any change in conditions and be prepared to implement an Emergency Action Plan if necessary. The Rental Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and professional work environment free of trash and hazardous equipment. Rental Attendant will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment on and off-site, breaking down rental concession and ensuring all equipment is secured at the end of the day. The Rental Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all staff has clocked out at the end of shift, that a cash drop has been made and an end of shift report has been completed. Duties
  • Arrive on time to clock-in location.
  • Ensure that the opening team arrive on time to clock-in location and clock in accordingly.
  • Notify MOD if any team member arrives late or unfit for duty.
  • Check weather conditions and determine operating limitations (if any) for the day.
  • Set Operating limitations (zones/ time limits) and communicate these to rental team, reservations and MOD.
  • Inspect vehicles.
  • Transport Staff and Equipment into the park.
  • Check for and prepare for any reservations.
  • Hold mandatory daily briefing assigning starting positions, zone limitations and time limits.
  • Set-up rental concession and prepare for upcoming reservations.
  • Communicate with guests prior to arrival.
  • Inspect and inventory equipment.
  • Check-in and facilitate on-site reservations.
  • Outfit guests with the proper equipment.
  • Provide basic safety lecture and basic instruction prior to participation in activity.
  • Assist guests with entering and exiting vessels.
  • Ensure conditions are suitable and monitor rentals while on the water.
  • Ensure that all policies are being adhered to by guests and staff.
  • Ensure that all staff have taken or been given the opportunity to take a break.
  • Answer questions and help provide recommendations to guests.
  • Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Ensure all guests have an enjoyable experience.
  • Facilitate check-out.
  • Carefully and accurately handle money and daily drops.
  • Attend safety drills and trainings.
  • Implement Emergency Action Plans when necessary.
  • Remain in close contact with reservations department and MOD about any on site changes during the day
  • Help train new team members.
  • Closing and securing all rentals and equipment.
  • Notifying Park via radio when rentals are accounted for and staff is leaving for the day.
  • Ensuring staff has clocked out at the end of shift
  • Complete end of shift report.
Experience / Qualifications
Must be fluent in English (Bilingual Preferred)
