St. Margaret's Center , an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY . Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus. Our team delivers advanced 24-hour medical care in a nurturing, home-like environment where residents can experience a full childhood
  • including school, activities, family time, and friendships. Requirements for an Activities Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year of related experience, preferably providing care and recreational programming for individuals with developmental disabilities Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Must be at least 18 years of age What you'll do as an Activities Assistant
  • Assist with planning and facilitating therapeutic recreation activities Support residents' participation in programs that promote growth and development Follow established care plans and safety guidelines Communicate clearly and effectively with residents, families, and team members What Makes St. Margaret's a Great Place to Work
