Bayville, NY Available Shifts :
Friday-Sunday and Saturday-Monday (Flexible hours)

Valid NYS driver's license. Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities preferred Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Work with Recreation Therapist to design and be responsible to implement therapeutic activities. Assist in completion of daily activity log and community outing logs. Run individual and group therapeutic recreational activities as designed by the recreation therapist. Participate in in-service training and shift meetings. Maintain all recreation areas and supplies in clean organized manner with appropriate supplies. Interact with residents and encourage interaction between residents.
Non-Essential Functions:
Interact with direct care staff and encourage staff to participate in therapeutic activities with the residents. Participate in meetings to discuss planning and implementation of recreation activities including in house and community outings. Submit proper documentation for all monies requested for community outings to Assistant Director on duty.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, lift and push more than 100 pounds. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Provide hand over hand assistance when needed. Join our Team and Make a Difference!
