Per Diem (per staffing needs) Schedule needed to cover shifts when assistants are on vacation and assistance needed for other staffing shortages Eddy Hawthorne Ridge is seeking a per diem Activities Assistant for our Memory Care Unit. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate. What Makes Hawthorne Ridge a Great Place to Work? Our campus houses a 54-bed Memory Care, 50-apartment Independent Living, and 12-bed traditional Assisted Living. We have a beautiful bistro on-site, available for made-to-order lunches. The Position and Our Ideal Candidate Our Activities colleagues come from a variety of backgrounds, including health care, creative fields, and more! The successful candidate wishes to make a difference in people's lives and be a partner to our elders in their pursuit of life enrichment; is enthusiastic and energetic; organized; has a positive attitude; is driven; creative and compassionate. Dementia experience preferred. The Activities Assistant is responsible for creating and leading activities programs which reflect resident interests. The Day-to-Day Plan and lead life enrichment programs in accordance with resident interests - 3 to 4 programs each day Know the unique interests of residents and encourage them to participate in program offerings Occasionally drive company vehicle for outings (must be willing to drive 14-passenger van) Incorporate opportunities to foster memorable experiences for residents Ensure materials are left out for all planned activities taking place after your scheduled shift ends Assist in planning monthly calendar of programs Keep activities supplies in neat and orderly condition, alerting Activities Director when supplies are needed Requirements Valid license
High School Diploma Pay Range:
$17.25 - $22.95 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
