Activities Assistant - Per Diem

Newark Manor Nursing Home , a 60 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Newark, NY, is looking for a creative per diem Activity Assistant to join our team! Only a short drive to a scenic location

• work close to home in Wayne County, or only a short 30 min drive from Rochester, NY! This is a Full-Time position! Hours to be 10am
• 6p with every other weekend commitment. Weekend hours to be 9am
• 5pm The Activities Assistant is responsible for creating and implementing an activities program that promotes meaningful life experiences for our residents.

Requirements and Duties:

Documentation-MDS attendance utilizing our Electronic Medical Records system Assisting resident to and from activity programs Liaison between the Activity Department, residents and Activity Director Encourage, run and monitor activity programs Preparation for scheduled activities Assist in special event planning for our residents Work with residents with non-pharmacological approaches to care Be Dependable, professional and kind at all times Work with other staff with meal delivery in the evening Ability to work independently at times Ability to multi-task

Pay:
