Job Description
Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. (RSS), a not-for-profit mental health agency, is seeking to fill a Recreation Residence Counselor position to work in our 8-bed Transition Age Youth (TAY) Community Residence for individuals ages 16 years to 20 years 11 months in Oneonta, NY. Qualifications and Skills:
High School diploma or GED, Associates Degree preferred or 3 years working with youth, Active/valid driver's license Successful completion of the Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance. Applicant must work well in a positive, strength focused, high energy and rapidly changing environment. Must be flexible and a team player. Good writing skills are necessary for this position. Position includes evening and weekend hours. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Planning a weekly recreation schedule, facilitating volunteer opportunities in the community, overall care and supervision of residents; daily notes related to progress, service plans, and goals; transportation.
