Job Overview An event at Cedar Lakes Estate is most often a multi-day affair. As such, days are filled with activities within the larger event. We believe one of the things that sets Cedar Lakes apart is our ability to entertain our guests while also demonstrating warm hospitality. The Activities Assistant is responsible for executing all activities provided to guests and clients throughout the hotel and events seasons. Activities must be aligned with not only guest/client expectations and needs, but also with the standard and brand of Cedar Lakes. The Activities Assistant is detailed, energetic, a great people person, and thinks outside the box. Duties Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all current activity offerings. Collaborate with Bar Team, Kitchen Team, and any other involved departments to ensure seamless setup, execution, and breakdown of all activities. Must be in possession of, or willing to obtain first aid and lifeguard certifications. Be fully versed in all rules and regulations (e.g. insurance coverage, guest waivers, safety inspections, incident reports) as it applies to activities and any potential liabilities to protect both Cedar Lakes as a whole as well as individual staff members Attend yearly zipline safety trainings Ensure consistent communication with Activities Assistant Manager to maintain Cedar Lakes standards as well as constantly striving to expand not only the offerings available to our guests, but the Activities Department overall. Support other departments with events as neededQualifications Organize and execute activities, with and without the Activities Assistant Manager, in accordance with our Cedar Lakes standard. Present all current and future activity offerings to guests as well as internal teams in an engaging and confident manner. Foster strong interdepartmental communication to ensure smooth transitions between activities and overall operational efficiency. Manage the daily upkeep, accessibility, and inventory of all relevant activities equipment, including but not limited to lawn games, board games, boats, bicycles, paddleboards, water stations. Experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care is highly preferred Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is advantageous Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory support strategies Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with seniors Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling and documentation purposes Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments Excellent organizational skills for managing schedules and coordinating resident events

Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
