About the
Role:
The Activities Assistant at Meadows at Brookmeade plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging activities tailored to seniors in an long-term care setting.. The Activities Assistant collaborates closely with healthcare and support staff to ensure activities meet the physical and cognitive abilities of each resident, promoting overall well-being. Schedule is Part Time Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) - 9 AM - 5 PM Join our team and be a part of something truly special at the Community at Brookmeade!
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with seniors, showing empathy and respect.
  • Exemplary personal integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • A cheerful disposition and a genuine passion for improving the lives of older adults.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or training in recreational therapy or related fields.
  • Experience developing and implementing activity programs for seniors with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in senior care and activity facilitation.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance activity programming and resident engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities that cater to the interests and abilities of seniors in the assisted living and long-term care environment.
  • Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with nursing and care staff to tailor activities that accommodate individual health conditions and mobility limitations.
Pay:
$16.50 per hour
