This is a seasonal position in the Department of Recreation & Human Services involving responsibility for overseeing the various activities at the City's ice skating rinks. Supervision is received from a higher level employee in the Department. Related work is performed as required. Supervises and evaluates rink staff during open skate; Collects rental and league fees; Orders supplies and materials for rinks; Assists in planning special events; Maintains skates by cleaning and sharpening; Teaches staff basics of ice skating; Assists with building and grounds upkeep; Computes daily cash reports: register, closings, and bank deposits; Prepares attendance summaries and other reports as requested; Assists in the recruitment and interviewing of new staff; Reviews staff time cards; Acts as a liaison to Youth Hockey. Two seasons of paid experience with the Department of Recreation & Human Services or similar operation.
