Monday•Friday, 8:30A•4:30
P Salary:
$23.60/hr

Associate Degree or 3 years of experience in a related area Clean valid New York State Driver's License AMAP certification Ability to work independently Minimum 1-year experience with DD population preferred. Computer skills Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Manage daily operation of Snack Shack, including but not limited to tracking inventory, sales, profit/loss, etc. Assist participants in planning appropriate community integration activities consistent with accessibility of community site and classes. Plan and implement written lesson plans and activities for the individuals enrolled in the course consistent with participant needs and valued outcomes as defined in ISP. Integrate activities that can be accomplished during Community Inclusion that will augment the lessons in the classroom. Facilitate integration to each site, encourage participant participation in dialogue, and solicit feedback consistent with learning module to enhance learning and awareness. Maintain daily attendance record and time sheet. Order necessary supplies and learning aids to augment curriculum. Assist whenever needed with the management needs of the participant including, but not limited to, ADL as well as behavioral interventions. Monitor and document response to valued outcomes and informal outcomes as required. Maintain bi-weekly communication with the Life Advisor regarding participant needs and progress. Supervise the evacuation of all participants during fire and other emergency drills or situations. Assist participant with all ADL needs including, but not limited to, feeding, transferring, lifting, toileting, dressing (coats), etc. as per participant's protocols. Document as per Policy & Procedure, including but not limited to participant participation and program evaluation relating to community integration as per description of "Life Options". Ensure needs of participants are met including but not limited to their safety and well-being. Ensure participant appointments and schedules are adhered to. Attend meetings, trainings, and seminars as requested. Ensure compliance with Life Options' Policy & Procedures, to include but not limited to training on behavioral plans/strategies & protocols. Ensure compliance to all OPWDD regulations.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, lift and push more than 100 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Provide hand-over-hand assistance in classroom when necessary. Join our Team and Make a Difference!
