The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen career. The Activity Assistant will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.
Responsibilities of Activity Assistant:
Follows and helps maintain, and coordinate a monthly program of events and programs Helps maintain ongoing contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations, and other useful resources for program development. Recruits, plans, and manages volunteer opportunities for the community Works with residents to ensure they are receiving activities each day One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, and the public
Qualifications of Activity Assistant:
Some nursing facility experience preferred A high school diploma or GED
