Gym Attendants at the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) ensure fair and safe participation in all gym activities and programs for members and guests. The DCRC hosts an array of activities in the gymnasium including sport leagues, parent/child classes, open gyms and fitness classes. Scheduling/Availability The scheduling process is flexible with a variety of shifts available including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. We are currently seeking applicants regularly available to work during the following: Saturdays (morning, afternoon and evening shifts available) Sundays (morning, afternoon and evening shifts available) Beyond the Paycheck Refer a Friend Bonus Program ($100 per successful employee referral) Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) enrollment and contributions Potential Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility Support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 20% discount on classes and free textbooks at Franklin University

All certifications achieved belong to the team member. Employee recognition and appreciation events throughout the summer. Discounted/free employee participation in select City events (Memorial Golf Tournament, Dublin Irish Festival, etc.) Uniforms provided Career mapping and growth opportunities Examples of Duties Gym Attendant duties include, but are not limited to: Set-up and break-down of volleyball, badminton, pickleball and basketball equipment Facilitating recreational sports, leagues and classes, as well as operating the score clock when needed Maintaining cleanliness of the gym including sweeping floors, putting away equipment, picking up trash and stocking ice bags Documenting and assisting with any injuries or accidents Knowing and enforcing rules, policies and procedures Properly documenting any incidents and dismissing disorderly patrons if necessary Conducting hourly participant counts Attending scheduled staff meetings Wearing your proper uniform so you are easily identifiable by members, guests and coworkers Typical Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Must be regularly available to work weekends Possession of a valid American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or ability to obtain certification within thirty (30) days of hire Ability to lift and move objects/sporting equipment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work under direct supervision Ability to work diligently and efficiently Ability to work conscientiously and courteously with the public Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in sports/recreation Physical Requirements Potential to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand and walk around to monitor areas of responsibility Other Requirements Attend staff meetings and trainings Regular, predictable and punctual attendance Ability to develop positive relationships with people from different backgrounds Accept other responsibilities deemed necessary by your supervisor in order to ensure quality service Perform duties assigned to the best of your ability and with a positive attitude
