Job Summary:

The Activities Assistant will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational activities for our residents, including social events, entertainment, and exercise programs. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals with a passion for working with seniors and a desire to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the planning and coordination of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outings Lead and facilitate activities, ensuring resident participation and engagement Monitor and report on resident preferences and activity participation to identify trends and make recommendations for future activities Collaborate with other care team members to develop and implement activity programs that align with resident needs and interests Maintain accurate records of activity attendance, participation, and feedback Ensure a safe and clean environment for all activities and events

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
