In This Role You Will:
Contributes to the development of written assessments, care plans, and documents progress with each resident Assist with the development of the monthly calendar, ensuring it includes daily evening, holiday, and weekend events and activities. Assists with planning the programs including educational, entertainment, spiritual, and physical activities, and programs. Posts activity reminders to encourage participation. Decorates designated areas for special events and parties and provides necessary assistance to residents, helps with preparation and clean up for such events. Assists in coordinating transportation of residents to outside programs, events, or medical appointments. Maintains a variety of stimulating activities and supplies for residents who choose and/or can perform activities independently. Effectively manages problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, or sponsor/surrogate.
Shift Details:
Fulltime Day shift 9:00a -5:00p every other weekend and every other holiday.
Who You Are:
High school diploma or GED equivalent The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; basic computer-related skills and the ability to learn how to operate office and audio-video equipment. Previous activity experience in a Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living facility. Maple Knoll Village is an equal opportunity employer .
